Bill Prince

Memorial services for Bill Prince 83, of Clovis, NM will be held at 11:00 AM Monday April 30, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Keath Baskett officiating. Bill died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Odyssey Hospice in Lubbock, Texas.

Bill was born August 2, 1928 in Lenny, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma to Walter D. and Lula Morrison Prince and grew up in Amarillo, Texas. He came to Farwell, TX in 1957. He was a Federal Liscensed government grain inspector and was owner of Farwell Grain Inspection. He married Glenna Deavours, May 25, 1977 in Marble Falls, Texas. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clovis, past member of the Farwell Chamber of Commerce and had been a member of the Farwell School Board. He enjoyed playing golf and drinking coffee with friends at Kripple Creek.

Bill is survived by his wife Glenna, daughter, Janice Williams, Ft. Smith, Arkansas, son, Richard Dan (Anjel) Prince, Casa Grande, Arizona, step-daughter, Sue Deavours, Ruidoso, NM, daughter-in-law, Kathy Deavours, Loveland, Colorado, step-son Bruce "Bobby" (Rebecca) Deavours, Ft. Collins, Colorado, one brother, Lt Col (Ret.) William G. Prince, Grapevine, Texas, two sisters, Erma Abbott, Borger, Texas, Virginia Cox, Dallas Texas, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded by his parents, a brother, Walter Douglas Prince, a sister, Catherine Isham, two step-sons Mark Deavours and Robert Payton and one step-daughter Andrea K. Bradford.

The family requests memorial contributions to Cal Farleys Boys Ranch PO Box 1890 Amarillo, TX 79174-0001.
