Marcos G. Urban Sr. 82, of Clovis, NM. Marcos died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Rosary will be held at 9:30 Friday, April 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Ressurection will follow at 10:00 am with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Robert Urban, Alex Urban, Albert Urban, Lee Gonzales, Nathan Carver, Joseph Zamora Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all grand and great grandchildren.
Marcos was born July 1, 1929 in Dilia, NM to Maria P. Urban and Elias Silva. He married Amelia Garcia June 13, 1949 in Clovis.
Survivors include his children, Emma (Phillip) Ulibarri of Clovis, NM, Mary Martinez of Clovis, NM, Virginia (Mike) Chavez of Hayville, KS, Corinne (Les) Bassinger, Marcos Jr. (Susie) Urban, Joe (Patsy) Urban, Juanita (Abel) Urban, Alice (Jake) Gonzales, Raymond (Emma) Urban all of Clovis, NM, Alejandro (Fran) Urban of Odessa, TX, Richard (Shareen) Urban of Witchita, KS, Ernesto (Doris) Urban of Columbus, TX, Sylvia Urban, Eva (Fransisco) Hernandez, David Urban, and Daniel Urban all of Clovis, NM; a brother, Jose (Agnes) Urban of Clovis, NM; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Amelia; parents; three infant sons and one infant daughter; two brothers, Albert Urban and George Silva; a sister, Emma Cordova and a great grand baby Fogerson.
