Services for Wayne K. Cantrell, age 82, of Tucumcari will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Furgus Tunnell officiating. Mr Cantrell died friday, April 13, 2012 at his home in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Wayne was born April 28, 1929 in Plainview, Texas to Charles Eugene and Mattie Ella Wisdom Cantrell. He married Ruth Martinez December 24, 1954 in Mancos, Colorado. He was a truck driver, member of the teamsters union, VFW Post 5231, Elks Lodge and was of the Baptist faith.
Wayne is survived by his wife Ruth of Clovis, NM, three daughter; Ella King, Tucumcari, NM, Billie Daniell, San Marcos, Texas Melinda Khamlaksana, Columbia, IL., two sons, Tom Roche, Colorado, Vaun "Sonny" Davis, Arizona, five grandchildren: Kenneth Wayne King, James Daniell, Janice Daniell, Toni Korte, Robert Cronin, five great-grandchildren, two sisters; Ruby Dennison and Betty Davidson.
Wayne was preceded by his parents and one son Gene.
