Gene Autry Pratt was born to Lawrence and Mettie Pratt. Gene was the fourth child of five children born to this union. He attended Elementary school in Paris, TX. After moving to Lubbock, TX he attended Dunbar High School. He spend three years in the US Air Force. Gene died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mettie Pratt; sister, Willie Bell Johnson; brother, Melvin Thomas Pratt; first wife, Barbara Pratt. Those left to mourn his passing is wife, Ella Mae Pratt of Clovis, NM; son, Ronald Pratt of Clovis, NM; granddaughter, Antonette of Kansa; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Caleb both of Kansas; brother, Odell Pratt (Felicia) of Fontana, CA; sister, Juanita Rose of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 5, 2012 at First Church of God in Christ with Bishop W. Charels Green officiaitng. Burial will followa t Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
